Step 1: Keep an open mind.
All children grow at different rates, if this step is left absent the students may miss the opportunity to learn the material in a way that comes most natural to them. |
Step 2: I find it necessary to be direct.
This step does not come easy for me, but it is a crucial step for student ability to follow the classroom rules, and follow lesson directions. |
Step 3: Being creative while meeting the standards.
It may sound easy, to be creative, but this step is the most challenging for me. Students perspectives are changing daily, while NYS standards are concrete. I try to use "Enjoyable=Engaging" |
